Argentina U20 national team coach Javier Mascherano has announced his starting XI vs. Paraguay in the Sudamericano.

Javier Mascherano’s team play Paraguay on Saturday and it’s Federico Gomes Gerth, who was the senior national team’s sparring goalkeeper at the World Cup, who gets the start. Giay, Di Lollo, V. Gomez and Aude start at the back.

In midfield, it’s Infantino with Manchester City target Maximo Perrone and Real Madrid’s Nicolas Paz. Vallejo, Veliz and Castro complete the eleven.

  1. U took Gomez Girth as a special novice in Qatar WC with the main team????!!!! 😱🤣 What a waste of money!! Is he like a special quota like Armani?! I think so..
We r so fortunate that we got a sudden blessing like Emi, or the WC trophy would just stay as a dream, that’s all!
Need to search a real teenage gk for future..

    • That’s not how it works at all. This is the first game in a tournament where the coach is trying to implement a complicated style of play. You can’t judge players from one game. It is likely Perrone makes his debut much sooner for us than all of these. Remember Mac Allister was also poor in the olympics and the rest is history.

  2. First half

Perrone score ,he didn’t perform well . box to box type but lack of speed and technique.

Nico paz is OK, tall ,fast and some dribbling skill

Infantino : seems OK and Mcallister type

    AUDE : IMPRESSIVE

    Giay : below par

    Right winger: nearly useless

    Castro: good performance

    Veliz : nothing special

    Goal keeper: disappointing

  3. My notes on the first half:
    1. Aude is more attacking minded than Giay
    2. Our left side much more dangerous than right side. Castro is good, Vallejo the right winger probably the worst on the pitch
    3. Infantino and Perrone double DM more like
    ————-Infantino———Perrone
    —————————Paz
    4. Perrone a bit like Enzo a DM with good offensive skill
    5. Argentina treat Paz like Messi, free role, all offense goes through him. Quite good first half.
