  1. We were definitely better than Paraguay. But when such silly individual errors happen, cant do much. Task is cut out now & maybe this was U20’s ‘Saudi moment’. 3 more games & we need atleast 2 wins & a point in one to scrape through. I saw 2nd half. Julian Fernandez looked good for the minutes he played. Valentin Gomez though being a CB looked more advanced & sliding too much to left flank. Aguirre looked more of skill showcasing than a team player. Was expecting Veliz to score & maybe Masche should have gone with Puch.

  2. These U20 tournaments are pointless after all, between 95 and 2007 ARG won 5/7 U20 World Cups plus 2 Olympics and another final from 4 (96-2008), and zero Copa and WC win.

In 2017 U20 Sudamericano we conceded overall 14 goals and do you know who were our overrated not NT material defenders? Cuti Romero, Lisandro Martinez, Foyth and Molina (maybe greatest ARG defender generation ever) plus Montiel and Senesi in U20 WC where ARG failed to qualify from the group and another 5 goals were conceded. So what?

    • Yeah the most important thing is for these players to play together and build chemistry and understand the process of national tournaments. I think it is very misleading to purely rely on this for youth scouting. Anyway today we lost because of silly defensive mistakes with bad tactics that should be reserved for clubs as opposed to short term knockout tournaments.
