Lisandro Martínez scored for Manchester United in their 3-2 loss vs. Arsenal.

Martínez scored his first goal for Manchester United and it was in their biggest match of the season up to now. With Arsenal leading 2-1, it was a corner kick for United and the ball fell to Lisandro and the Argentine World Cup winner perfectly placed the ball off a header and scored for United.

Arsenal would take the lead and win the match very late, in the 90th minute. Lisandro had a very good personal showing, having scored the goal and won many tackles.

He is now the seventh Argentine player to score for United in the Premier League. Here are the names:

Juan Sebastián Verón
Gabriel Heinze
Carlos Tevez
Ángel Di María
Marcos Rojo
Alejandro Garnacho

  1. Its been over a month, but just want to leave this out here…..
World Champions baby! Hell yeah! Never get tired of this…lol

  2. Nahuen Perez starts regularly and also plays well regularly. Has the potential to get even better.
Amione was nervous but got better as the match went on. His one issue is lapse of concentration and was caught play watching, which ultimately proved fatal for him and Sampdoria. Sample will go down for sure but Amione showed enough that he can hang in there. Only 21, so the next 2 years will decide where he is heading.
Watched Elche vs Osasuna. Avila scored a stunning header. For Elche, Boye and Blanco started. Boye is top notch when it comes to hold up play and has great skills but sadly, he wasted 2 glorious chances. Blanco provided a lot of width and looked promising when going forward even though defensively he has a lot to improve. Elche will go down for sure. Blanco needs another couple of seasons to improve his game.
Girona vs Villareal. Gazzaniga was outstanding in goal for Girona.
Medina had a goal and an assist in their French Cup match win.

  3. Last season when Licha was still in Ajax, I was really hoping the Spurs would sign 2 players: Licha and Emi Martinez. The reason was it was very realistic as Spurs needed a left footed center back and a goalie to replace Lloris.

They made their decision. They signed Lenglet instead and renewed Lloris contract instead. Now they pay the price for their stupidity. Imagine if they had signed Licha and Emi. Emi last year was struggling and was not that hot. Maybe somewhere like 20 million Euro would have been enough to get him. Licha is 50 million Euro. They both were not out of reach.

Fast forward, it seems like Paratici is not that smart. Imagine a trio of Emi, Cuti, and Licha in one team coached by Conte. They would have been scary. Instead they have a shitty Lloris and Lenglet as Cuti’s teammates. Man looking at Licha last night, I really can’t wait to see the partnership if Cuti and Licha asap.

Agreed, once again as also very pissed about that Spurs kept Lloris and signed Lenglet as both had been horrible as never really liked theese 2 players either…also u are more than right about Paratici as we don’t know really the thoughts of Conte, but it is more than obvious that it was him who wanted Perisic, Bentancour, Kulusevski and that X Brazilian Emerson Royal who was with Mancini’s Italy at the last Euro, when they won, but hardly played as i think Napoli’s Di Lorenzo occupied that spot more or less as regular starter for Mancini’s Italy who won Euro’s, but did not make it to WC as ARG completly overplayed them in that Great Finallisima, which Arg won more than comfortably !

And now ARG as WORLD CHAMPIONS every Argentine player seems to be fully in Fire, even those who were not with LA SELECCION in WC 22 at Qatar !

Well, it is a bit strange that, those who might have the money are not really going after Argentine players as those who have Argentine players amongst their teams at the moment, must be super happy as every Argentine player is literally on Fire !

So, i’m not that wear of Spurs’s plans right now as with this Paratici it is a kind of more than mess to me as it is more than obvious Lloris should be replaced as if they would Still had Gazzaniga, well that problem would had been sorted allready, but this never ending CB situation as Only with CUTI it is impossible for them as the rest of their CB’s are way below average, unfortunatly….so as they can’t get Licha any more and i think there must be many who might be after Perez allready and maybe after Medina too, though don’t know if he can play LCB or is more as LB, Still Spurs should act now before this window closes, but i’m affraid that they might thinking something completly different…specially with Paratici…well, i don’t know as if they don’t make it for UCL for next year, well i think we will see once again lot of movement with in Spurs as, maybe even Conte will want to coach another team, as this same thing keep’s on happening with Spurs as obviously Levy is a businessman and a very good one in business wise, but that has not brought succes to Spurs and don’t really know if it will never bring…as it such a long time since they won something if we don’t count that League Cup with Juande Ramos…well, if CUTI not getting real quality Goalie behind him and at least one quality left footed CB, maybe one day sooner or later we will see him in other team, though i don’t think that they will sell to rival as once MANU allways shopping players from Spurs, but no way Levy will sell him to any rival though he might be waiting for big offer from somewhere else as that would not surprise me in the end…Still in football wise if they sell CUTI, well there is no one they can replace him with, lol !

  4. We have a terrible manager in U20 and he is mascherano. This means he can’t be easily dismissed.

Wrong tactics, players out of position, wrong player selection and what not.

Aimar can give very little time to U17, but every time I watched him team play, they looked disciplined. I don’t think Mascherano has much excuse.

We did not have good U20 manager for a long time. It is a shame.

    • As per local analyst, Mache is overly strict and focuses on non-futballing areas hoping it brings discipline in players but he fails to realize that he is not running a club and these players will go back to their clubs once the tournament is done.

  5. Facundo Buonanotte is unlikely to play again in the South American u20 as he has to wear special protector for his neck for several days. It is a big loss as the tournament won’t allow us to replace him with another player.

  6. Dybala with 2 assist last night. Dybala last 8 games with Roma: 5 goals and 2 assists and 2 MOM. He is available for €20 m Euro only and no teams are after him? He will improve any team that signs him. That is for sure. Yes he is injury prone but for €20 m? It’s worth it

Di Maria with 1 goal and 1 assist and one pass that leads to a goal. He contributes in all 3 Juventus goals. Plus he is the MOM of the Juventus. So all Licha, Dybala, and Di Maria are MOM of their teams.

And yesterday Enzo was also the MOM. 2 days ago Emi Martinez was the MOM. Notes to any European teams while the January transfer windows still not done yet: Buy Argentina players. They are the world champs!

Compare them to Brazilian players last night. Martinelli, Gabriel? Lol. Antony, Fred LOL.

      • Because in the past Argentina imported more players to Europe more than any other nations (more than Brazil) and a lot of them ended up overrated. So European teams kind of skeptical with our players quality. But now things should change dramatically because of 2 main reasons:
        1. The success of Enzo and Julian lately who before they transferred to Benfica or City, many European teams doubted their qualities.
        2. We are the World Champ!

Soon there will be reason number 3 as all of our players perform well above expectation now. All players I mention above plus Molina (2 days ago), Nehuen Perez, and Palacios also all did well yesterday.

      • Every playing well in Argentina back then is called new Maradona, but none of them lived up to expectation except Messi. It’s Maradona effect. Maradona is god in 80 and 90 and this effect came to 2000s and early 2010s, then we have most world-class strikers in the world, lots of world class players in other positions too: Messi, Aguero, Higuain, Water Samuel, Cambiaso, Milito, Almeida, Crespo, Veron, …

Then I think Messi, Di Maria, Mascherano and co stayed too long in the national team, not many showing up till recently.

Another reason is our players are physically weaker than Brazilians, and football in Europe becomes much more physical

  7. Watching TenHag bet on Weghorst (BoBo) and lose repeatedly is sad… Garnacho deserved to start and BoBo should be used like LuukDejong.. brought in when it’s time for long balls.. I cannot honestly see his contribution and say he is worthy of any top 6 team in the top 5 leauges.leagues.. sad and mildly amusing to see this slomo car accident play out in front of us… hope TenHag wakes up before Weghorst takes them down with him

  8. When a player didn’t get a chance to play, it will either break and make a player frustrated or want to leave the club; but it can make a player humble and will do their best when they get a first chance. Yes, many factors besides the playing time; the dressing room, team harmony, enjoying time on daily practice, big club, and luxury. Garnacho has to stay and proved himself worthy. He got more chances than Iqbal Zidane or other potential youths.

    • Nowhere to go for Scaloni, the whole team will continue and prepare for Copa. It will be interesting to watch and hope that new youngsters will be introduced.

  9. Ok..so, Weghorst starting continuously and Garnacho not getting minutes after a impressive start of the season. So, MU deserved to lose.

If Weghorst can play for ManU then Gaich can play for Real Madrid…😃

    • Weghorst is just loan, it’s 3.6M for 6 months so he needed to exploit him. Very bad coach, he’ll be ended up being fired. 100M for Antony, nowhere near Bale or Di Maria at peak, not even better than Garnacho, now Weghost, hahaha

    • We never know if Garnacho has any attitude problem that is not going well with the coach or the dressing room environment. His coach hinted towards that at the start of the season. Still, I believe Garnacho should have been in the starting Xi.

    • Spot on ! Dickheads dem’ all ! As Garnacho perfect fit for playing with Rashford as what did we see from Bruno or Anthony, not to even mention Weghorst, lol ! Wake up ETH ! Though, great to see LICHA SCORE ! But, with no Garnacho like u said earlier alkready MANU DESERVED TO LOOSE AS SHAME ON YA’ ETH !

  10. Tactical mistakes from Ten Hag – Arsenal has a very young team with full of energy..Garnacho should have played..It proves Man Utd over reliance on Casemiro..

Scaloni did the same mistake of removing Di maria and bringing in unfit Acuna..he should have brought in Lisandro Martinez – but anyways it didn’t matter now..
