Argentina U20 coach Javier Mascherano has submitted his preliminary list of players for the U20 World Cup.

Javier Mascherano has included several European based players and one from the MLS as his preliminary list incldues 37 names. Mascherano has named 10 players from Europe and one from the MLS in the United States. Here are the 37 names:

  2. Reasonable list ,only missing Prestianni and the one played in villareal u20.

    • 21 man, need to cut 1. I like ur list, I’d cut F Carboni. We dont need 3 LB. Malanca, Avile, and Palacios all look better than the previous Masche players of Di Lollo, Aguilar, Genez.

  3. All of them you mentioned played together at Toulon tournament. They struggled as a team. Real problem is CF and central def. In CD, they have included highly rated Tomas Aviles, who is getting first team action at Racing this season. He has already represented Chile, though.

      • In a general way, i’m not convinced by the sub-20 process in the last few years. Batista wasn’t particularly good either and it seems Mascherano hasn’t geled at all. The rest seems to work out fine (sub-17, 15) and obviously the senior.

The midfield was one of the strongest in the qualifying tournament for Argentina unfortunately the goalkeeping was horrible and the finishing up front was lackluster at best… with the reinforcements from European argentinos finishing and building in our midfield looks good. Not sure whom will be between the posts but we gave up two horrible goals from goalkeeping errors that cost us immediate qualification. Excited so long the European clubs release our young aces for the last 10 days of the European season… I’m rooting for these teams to lose contention in euro league and league cups… man United, man city and juventus… I want to see Paz, perrone, soule, garnacho and romero play together !!
