Diego Maradona: 75% (24 matches)
Gerardo Martino: 73.5% (29 matches)
Manuel Seoane: 73.3% (10 matches)
Guillermo Stábile: 72.2% (127 matches)
From those five names, three of them have won trophies. Manuel Seoane won three Copa America titles, Guillermo Stábile won six South American Championships, two Pan American Games and one Pan American Championship. Lionel Scaloni has won the World Cup, a Copa America and a Finalissima.
Yes, a bit surprised not to see the names of Menotti, Billardo, Sabella or even Pekerman/Tocalli… well, i do understand it is about stats as ddr1123 well said, that stats can be missleading too or viceversus etc…
This goes to show how misleading stats could be. Seeing Maradona at number 2 is really surprising and a travesty of reality. Under Tata we played decent for one copa, but failed overall. Winning needs some luck too.
