The first goal came through an Angel Di Maria assist as he crossed the ball inside the penalty area and Agüero would hit it with his chest and score to give Argentina the 1-0 lead.

Lionel Messi would play a part in the second goal as he would play a pass to Ezequiel Garay and he would pass it into the penalty area and Agüero would score from close range.

Agüero would play a role in the third goal as he was taken down inside the penalty area and Argentina were awarded a penalty kick. It was Riquelme who took it and he would aim towards the middle and score to make it 3-0 for Argentina.
