  1. We should trust scalony who gave the world cup to us. Let be fare with him. He knows Whom to call and drop. If he fail then we can talk about it. He is one of the most successful manager Argentina ever produced. Its total disrespect towards him if we question his selection till date.

  2. Very gud move by Scaloni. E.Barco deserves NT callup. He is one of very quality creative midfielder in arg. Let him chances to play with these squad gives beauty in midfield.

  3. Enzo continues to ooze class with his crisp and precise passing, link up play, his movement. He played higher up the field today which is likely to continue.

    • He is pure talent, what a baller , If was scaloni I will swap positions between macallister and enzo, I will play macallister as 5 while enzo as 8.

    • Yup! His positioning inside and outside the box is sublime. He gets into scoring and assisting positions multiple times but Chelsea players fail to capitalize, especially Sterling seldom passes to Enzo!

  4. Should that happen it will complete disgrace to younger and better goalkeeper. Scaloni should stop these meaningless ‘politics’ of including likes of Armani and Pezzella. As for barco let him prove himself first in Europe, to improve his level.

      • Pezzella the same guy who gave away a foolish freekick against Netherlands in the dying minutes. In the finals he was brought on in place of McAlister later on Argentina conceded penalty. Even though it was Montiel handball, Pezzella substitution was of little effect.
The likes of Facundo Medina, Foyth can do better job.

  5. Between Ledesma, Musso and Benitez we have enough decent goalkeepers to take no 2 and 3 spots. None of them is worse than Armani or Romero. I understand why Scaloni would go for Armani in the absence of Rulli, he’s a familiar face but that’s playing it safe, kind of a lazy move.

As for Barco, it’s a curious one. He’s not a bad player per se but we already have so much depth in midfield, I am not sure why would we need Barco, he’s not better than any of our backup midfield options, let alone the starting ones. Could it be just to give him additional exposure for a European audience?

      • He is not an out and out winger though, more of an attacking midfielder who can play wide on occasion and cuts and drifts inside as a playmaker. He does not move like a winger to me, does not stay wide near the touchline, does not use his speed to beat defenders down the flank, etc. Basically he plays the same as Almada and Farias when they are asked to play on the left which means just drifting inside by overloading midfield. Barco is certainly not the same player as Di Maria, Garnacho and Nico Gonzalez.
