Nicolás González scores second header of the season for Fiorentina vs. Lecce

Nicolás González scored his second header of the season for Fiorentina in their 2-2 draw vs. Lecce.

González made it two goals as Fiorentina were awarded a corner kick and the Argentine would score a header to give them the 1-0 lead. He had previously scored in Fiorentina’s 4-0 win vs. Genoa last week.

Lucas Martínez Quarta and Lucas Beltrán also both started the match for Fiorentina.

  1. Probably our best winger after Di Maria, can play on the left or right wing, centre forward and even left back. Very quick player. Likes to make sudden diagonal runs into the box that confuse the opposition defenses. Tracks back and contributes defensively. Wicked header of the ball too. A bit injury prone though so that is his one weakness that I see. He had some issues with finishing before but I think he has significantly improved in that regard lately. He did not even reach his full prime yet which is still 1-2 years away. Might be at his peak during Copa 2024. His versatility is surely a huge bonus for Scaloni and co.

  2. Nico is wearing no-10 shirt for Fiorentina! If he had been French or Brazilian big clubs would be outbidding each other to get him. Not only he has pace, he has improved his finishing quite a lot! He is very clinical now and with his pace can track back and defend too! We missed his service in the world cup. Had he been there, he would have already moved to a big club.
