Papu Gómez has his contract with Sevilla terminated and he could be going to Saudi Arabia.
Gómez could soon be leaving Europe. According to César Luis Merlo and Relevo, the 35 year old would have left Sevilla through mutual consent and there is a good chance that he goes to play in Saudi Arabia, joining some of the other big names to play in that league.
The Argentine did not take part in any of Sevilla’s first three matches this season as he was linked with a move away from the club. He first joined them in 2021 from Atalanta and most recently won the 2023-2023 Europa League.
He is not included in the Argentina national team for the September World Cup qualifying matches.
I’m sure eventually we will. I don’t buy the witchcraft rumor. Maybe he’s just not the right personality for the team? Maybe he was toxic in the clubhouse. Who knows?
