Write “passes that only Mac Allister can see” in Youtube search box and enjoy watching that great video on Allister’s magic passes.
TBT, I trust Allister more than Enzo.
With just less then 9 months remaining for COPA24. I don’t see scaloni will experiment too much. Other than injuries we will see same squad. If soule and varela perform in upcoming month then it will be tough
I’m excited as always whenever ARG plays any game nm a WC qualifier but this bullshit of channel hopping, not knowing where to watch each game has already gotten on my damn nerves from game one.
As it stands now, the Paraguay game is going to be shown on Universo and Peru is exclusively on FUBO…..in the U.S. that is
“Lionel Scaloni has become the youngest manager since 1978, and the fourth youngest manager to win the World Cup, which, coincidentally, were both achieved by Argentine compatriot César Luis Menotti.”
I remembered when I used defend scaloni on his earlier days coaching of Argentine nt . Scaloni earned right to do whatever he wants since he is most successful manager in the history of Argentina nt.
Agreed. Although he keeps calling Almada and ignoring Icardi, I still trust him because he got us everything.
Forget about Icardi. What he did to Maxi Lopez is unforgivable. Bringing on Icardi will be huge disrespect to Messi. Furthermore if you watch his game, he is too slow.
What Scaloni should focus on is integrating likes of Matias Soule, Valentin barco and Varela in the NT.
If a striker like haaland played for Argentina in the wc, will it be better than both Julian and lautaro or a disadvantage in scaloneta?
We have already have a striker similar to Haaland and its Icardi. Haaland is struggling because he is being heavily marked by multiple defenders and since his dribbling ability is nonexistent he cannot penetrate through defenders to score. However, since Scaloni’s team creates multiple chances every match, a clinical striker like Haaland would be more than useful for sure.
MacAllister keeps everything simple which is why he doesn’t look flashy but like someone mentioned below his positioning and futballing IQ is what influenced Scaloni and Kloop. However, Liverpool playing him as a holding mid is making him look medicore, especially when he is not even allowed to enter the box.
Some guys might kill me here but the only good thing mc Allister ever done was pass that ball to di Maria goal…. I’m grateful for that moment.. but otherwise he is overhyped
He is still our second best midfielder after Enzo. He is the No.10 for Liverpool, so he is 1000 times better than the Tottenham benchsucker and the MLS fraud.
Maybe he doesn’t get to impress himself as he wants to.. but I don’t fancy him compare to our past midfielders
Wo his goal against Poland we would have crashed out in group stage. Enzo? He missed even his penalty vs Holland, he was lucky.
U and I know that was a lucky shot.. go watch it back…
what was lucky about it? It doesnt look deflected if thats what you mean.
Enzo Fernandez is our best midfielder. However when it comes to penalties even in shootout, he should not be selected. Montiel, McAlister, Alvarez, Paredes and Lautaro should be our best unless Messi is around.
It’s not always about flashy displays. His movement off the ball, intelligence, positioning it is unbelievable. Even in your eyes it was lucky goal he scored against Poland but did you think about that he was in that position for this so called lucky goal. Also we lost Lo Celso right before the World Cup but he adopted so quickly that it was felt like he was playing with this team for ages . That’s shows his intelligence.
That’s sad you said his only contribution was pass to Di Maria what about the fact he took out Griezmann completely from the game.
Ok I understand all your points.. my apologies
Your football knowledge is zero..Genzalo
Just watch..WC final.. again… okay.
I watched it many times just like everyone else here…
He is not flashy but does everything correctly. Perfect positioning, box to box, work ethic, can hold the ball under pressure, playmaker level passing, composed, good tackler, good shot. He is very complete. Most importantly he plays quickly and seldomly looses pocession. He balances the more risky plays (also needed) of players like enzo who make higher risk but higher reward plays.
Actually I do think scaloni or may be the team have some bias on some players though they are world champion .Perhaps their decision may not be 100% correct.
1, Lautaro,Alvarez,Beltran are similar players, I think we need taty castellanos rather than Beltran .I followed taty for a whole seasons, his performance deserved to be called . He is a special strikers and scored three goals against real madrid .
2, Soule is another player ,you can’t believe even Bounanotte infront of him
3,Marco Senesi and N Perez are two CB have great potential ,but the team relied on Otamendi and Pezella
4, Icardi is another case
5, Scaloni never called local talent ,to be honest if Beltran didn’t transfer to fiorentina he won’t be called .But some local players do have great potential ,actually you need to bring in new blood in friendly .
Its going to sound controversial but if both Lautaro and Alvarez were to start, Icardi could be an extremely useful option off of the bench. Julian is outshining Haaland this season because unlike Julian, Haaland doesn’t dribble to beat and penetrate through defenders. With Julian playing the false nine role obviously plus the tracking back and pressing, we will definitely need a clinical third striker off the bench and who better than inform and clinical Icardi.
Putting bounanonte ahead of Soule is complete joke. The boy hasn’t been included in the bench for 4-5 matches.
Dybala, Foyth, Lanzini, Pastore – the list goes on…
we were asking for a Xavi or Iniesta earlier – now we need a messi like player..
Potential golden ball winners and successors to Messi and Ronaldo could be Bellingham and Musiala. Two talents that have a big influence on their teams at a young age.
I SEE FROSINONE MATCH,MATIAS SOULE IS VERY ATTRACTIVE PLAYER AND SHOUD CALL BY SCALONI
For the first time I am worried about our attack…small concern but the none the less concerned. If lauturo or Alvarez get tired or injured then we don’t have many options. I think Scaloni may actually try to put both in the field together at some point soon. Alvarez csb play in several positions on the attack as hes proven in river and man city. But because dybala, now dimaria and maybe Messi are injured/unfit we may have to try new mixes. Dybala never got alot of minutes but this would be the game we need him and of course he has to be injured for it.
Nico g needs to step up this month in attack. And our midfield has to get creative
In case Messi cannot play the first game, Nico, Alvarez and Lautaro can be the Foden Alvarez Haaland combination for us. Garnacho can come in at the 60 replacing Nico. Beltran can come in replacing Alvarez in the 70th. Anyway creativity would still be lacking in absence of Messi and Di Maria. Lo Celso is no match for these two legends. Enzo, McAllister, De Paul and Paredes are all excellent distributors and sloggers but hardly creative. Scaloni should try to create his next Di Maria. (Likes of Messi are not created, they are born.) Guardiola is trying to create De Bruyne in Alvarez.
Soule is some real talent wow:
youtu.be/1BLuFNQjwas?si=la8wszX22KKjhYZk
few of the dribbles and cutback passes had shades of fideo.
Massive problem without Dybala since Messi, Di Maria, and Dybala seem to be only “creative” forwards capable of changing outcomes with their brilliant eye for movement and space.
Lo Celso filled the role nicely but he’s also out. Enzo (and Mac A to lesser extent) are creative progressive players..who else is left?
De Paul is more than capable of providing key passes and through balls in the final third. Molina and whoever plays as a LB can also provide crosses from wide areas. Don’t discount Julian’s creativity either, that’s the role he plays for his club lately.
Good shout outs…
RDP is creative but not nearly as consistent as GLC.
Molina is great but often much further back.
Julian is pretty good, but not nearly as good the other guys.
Seems like we’re light on a key ingredient here but time will tell how the boys do without the world class level creative guys making plays happen.
I can see Julian Alavrez taking on the Messi role gradually. He is our best player in Europe and under Pep has evolved his game from a centre forward to a false nine. Even though he has been playing behind Haaland he consistently gets into scoring positions inside and outside the box. Lautaro entering his peak this season and Alvarez playing a no10 role for City , demands Scaloni start both players. Also we have Nico and Garnacho on the left wing, both capable of providing service and goals.
I would like to see Scaloni trying this lineup at some point in the upcoming two matches.
——- Lautaro—-
Nico————–Alvarez
Enzo—–MacAllister—- Depaul
Acuna—- Medina— Romero—Molina
————— Emi———
Alvarez left Nico right, Gonzalez is unstoppable from there in this season.
This current Argentina with scaloni and co won’t depend on any player maybe messi only , enzo and de Paul are more than capable to be our main creative with nico and Garnacho providing widths Julian Alvarez maneuver around 9/ 10 area , sadly i can’t trust lo celso because of his injuries, I’m 100 % sure our coaching staff are already analysing this and they will find solution.
That muscle injury is blessing in disguise. He already fulfilled his commitment to Intermiami by winning the leagues cup and getting them qualified for the concacaf champions league. I am glad he took adequate time to heal and also got some mins last week to get some match fitness back. I wouldn’t be surprised if he plays 90mins in both matches. My only concern is the lack of futbal until feb 2024. After November there are no international matches too.
Let’s see if this team can play very without Messi and Di Maria. I think so.
With lots of worry about Messi.
