Alejo Véliz from Tottenham is set to join Sevilla on loan.

Per journalist Fabrizio Romano, Véliz is already in Sevilla after doing the medical checkups and the move would not include a buy option.

The Argentine striker didn’t have much playing time with Tottenham last year and at the end of December, suffered a knee injury. With Heung-min Son playing in the Asian Cup, it would have been a good moment for Véliz to show what he is capable of doing on the pitch. Unluckily, he got injured and the English club purchased another striker, Timo Werner.

The former Rosario Central player will join another team full of Argentinians: In Tottenham, he had Giovanni Lo Celso and Cristian Romero as teammates and in Sevilla he will share the squad with Marcos Acuña, Lucas Ocampos and Federico Gattoni.

The Spanish club is currently in the 16th position in La Liga standings, only one point away from the relegation positions.

  1. I’ll throw you one. I think I will remember this Deadline Day as the night of a star’s debut. Franco Mastantuono is something incredible. I just watched the game online in replica. This boy has magic. Mamma mia. By fabrizio romano
From now big teams from Europe will come to see him for next 6 months… Better river tie him up with big RC..

  2. More important than our goal scorers are our mids. Think they are all playing pretty well lately, especially Mac who is world class now. I remember seeing him at Boca and never thinking he would be that good. He’s an extremely intelligent player who just continues to grow. Wonder if he might have a Modric-like career.

In defense, Lisandro Martinez is back! Otamendi is our weakest link and Lisandro has several months to recover and play himself into form for the Copa America.
