The Conference League final takes place on Wednesday between Olympiacos and Fiorentina and an Argentine player will be winning the trophy.
For a second consecutive year, an Argentine will be winning the Conference League. Last season it was Manuel Lanzini with West Ham United who won it against this season’s finalists, Fiorentina.
At least two Argentine players will be lifting the trophy this season. Francisco Ortega and Santiago Hezze with Olympiacos or Nicolás González, Lucas Martínez Quarta, Lucas Beltrán and Gino Infantino.
Nicolás González and Lucas Martínez have been called up for the Argentina national team for the two friendly matches in June and the provisional team for the Copa America.
Santiago Hezze what a player. I hope one day he plays for the Argentina NT
Santiago Hezze assist the winning goal.. 🏆
Nico needs to step-up and perform for the NT like he was prior to the last Copa, hopefully today helps!
Nico Gonzalez was completely lost throughout the game.
But his fellow teammates especially strikers were useless.
Our midfielders are great technical players and la liga is the exact league for our players. Enzo, macallister, lo celso, palacios playing for real, barca or atleast atletico would be a treat to watch. Yes macallister adapted to PL but he would be much more impactful in barca or real in place of valverde. I really hope enzo can find a top la liga team in the near future. Premier league is physical and it demands more from our players. Also Licha in barca as a ball playing CB without injury would be a treat. Yes players has to adjust and its upto them. I still think PL is for brazucaas and la liga is made for Argentines. City can be argentine as it has that Argentine technicality.
