Argentina against Venezuela in the World Cup qualifiers could be moved to Friday due to hurricane Milton.
The Argentina national team are in Florida where they have been training at Inter Miami’s complex since Sunday and the hurricane could cause their match against Venezuela to be delayed. According to Doble Amarilla, there are ongoing talks to possibly have Argentina’s World Cup qualifying match against Venezuela be moved from Thursday to Friday.
The state of Florida is set to be hit with hurricane Milton and the Argentina national team are finding it difficult to travel from Miami to Maturín. Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni spoke at a press conference on Tuesday about the issue.
Simeone criticizing RDP , saying he performed much better for the NT but never win anything with his team. I think Cholo needs reality check.
Its funny every Argentine players club performance went south whenever they joined his team, except the one who rarely play for the NT (A.Correa). Even Insua once a good prospect who won WC u20 in 2007 had similar fate. Remember Vietto? A 20 year old winger who scored 20 goals when he was at Villalreal… he joined Cholo’s team the next season and scored 4 goals in the next two seasons.
Kun left that club just at the right time.. the same year they appointed Cholo.
He isn’t wrong. Depaul’s performance for national team is of higher quality than his club. He is too inconsistent for Atletico and when playing under Scaloni he seldoms puts a foot wrong. It could be Simeone’s ultra defensive apporach, specifically after leading in a match and Depaul is not a out and out defensive mid and fails to adapt to his bus parking strategy!
Molina and Alvarez hasnt really deliver much either. The same with those young talents in the past who played under Simeone. One they joined his team, their club career tanked.
When your team lost 4-0 in CL and you put the blame on a single player, then you’re just looking for a scapegoat.
Atletico Madrid hasnt been a factor in CL in last 8 years. Griezzman is WC winner aswell, and he’s never been a standout player in CL.
I am in Miami, winds are expected to be 30mph with 40mph gusts. Definitely windy and gusty. Unless the stadium is enclosed it will be s shitshow with the ball flying all over. It should be rescheduled just for that.
As for safety, unless the storm track down closer to Miami, a 1% chance, its not really a dangerous situation. Just a storm like Miami gets regularly. Flooding could be an issue if we get rain, but its not looking like it.
The match will be in Venezuela, just the training camp in Miami.
Yep. They are stuck in Miami and are unable to find a flight out. They need to hollar at tony Montana. “You got navy all over the place, you got frogmen, you got ac2s with satellite tracking, you got bell 209 assault choppers.” 😂 😂
Emi and Romero suspended, Mac Allister not fit. These are our three best players after Messi.
But…Messi is back, Lo Celso and Palacios is in great form. We are not playing against top teams. So, it will not be a tough week for Argentina.
Guys I appreciate your optimism but I notice that some of you are taking this round of WCQ way too lightly. Venezuela and Bolivia aren’t the toughest opponents SA has to offer but neither of them are cake walks so lets try not to underestimate Argentina’s adversaries lest we end up shocked and disappointed.
Agreed as there are none easy opponents in SA and specially in terms of CONMEBOL WCQ’s even, though some obviously harder, but every team want’s qualify and also beat ARG on top of that, so I’m expecting win as good result for ARG, but not necessarily, that easy game’s, though obviously “ a goal feast for ARG “ would be more, than pleasure as I will be satisfied with good results, but would like to obviously ARG to be on their best and deliver beside of victory a good performance, but “one can allways wish, though not necessarily every wish come true” etc…
Anyhow really looking for to as once again and allways til’ forever ONLY ARG MATTER’s!
Players’ safety first.
OH yes Please.
