Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni spoke about the team’s match against Paraguay.

Lionel Scaloni held a press conference after the team’s 2-1 loss against Paraguay in the World Cup qualifiers. Speaking to the media, here is what he had to say:

“I’m not here to criticize my players, I’m here to support them. We knew it was going to be a complicated match. We are here to move forward and give confidence to many new players.

“In the first half we played a good game and the first action at the beginning of the second half made everything difficult. We have to congratulate the opponent who defended very well.

“We are playing and we hope to get back on the right track. The team always tries, always gives its best in the matches. The players don’t give a ball away. Afterwards, we will analyze what we can do better.”

Scaloni also spoke about the World Cup qualifier against Peru on Tuesday:

“Peru will be a totally different opponent, but they also have their difficulties. We are going to prepare well and hopefully we can give our fans a good time. We are confident in what we have been doing.”

  1. We should replaced Otamendi because he is continuously missing the Arial ball and consiving goals. He is out of his age. My question is why not we replaced him.
