Gonzalo Montiel will be joining River Plate.
Montiel is going to be returning to his old club. According to Damian Augusto Villagra, the 28 year old is going to join Marcelo Gallardo’s team.
The Argentine joined Sevilla in 2021 from River Plate and spent one season on loan at Nottingham Forest.
With all due respect to River, he is only 27 years old, at his prime, so going back that early is not great for his career. Oh well, I guess he has won it all with the national team, so he does not care for club career anymore.
