Gonzalo Luján, Tadeo Allende, and Rocco Ríos Novo are the three new Argentine signings for Inter Miami under head coach Javier Mascherano.
Gonzalo Luján
Luján joins from Argentine top-flight club San Lorenzo, signing a contract that runs through the 2027 Major League Soccer (MLS) season, with a Club option for 2028. The versatile defender, who can play both as a center-back and fullback, brings significant experience for his age.
At just 23 years old, Luján has already played in major tournaments like the CONMEBOL Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana. He also represented Argentina’s U-23 national team at the 2024 Paris Summer Olympic Games under the management of Javier Mascherano, now his coach at Inter Miami.
Tadeo Allende
Allende joins on a one-year loan from Spanish LaLiga side Celta de Vigo, running through the end of the 2025 MLS season.
The 25-year-old winger arrives at Inter Miami with experience in both Argentina and Spain. In his home country, he played for Instituto Atlético Central Córdoba in 2021 and Godoy Cruz from 2022 to 2023, before moving to Celta de Vigo in Spain in 2024.
Rocco Ríos Novo
Ríos Novo, a goalkeeper, was claimed via Major League Soccer’s waiver protocol on a one-year loan from Argentine club Lanús. His loan runs through the 2025 MLS season, with an option to make the transfer permanent afterward.
The 22-year-old joins Inter Miami after spending two seasons with Phoenix Rising in the USL Championship, also on loan from Lanús.
