Gio Lo Celso to be left out of Argentina national team due to recovery

Gio Lo Celso is set to be left out of the Argentina national team due to his fitness.

Lo Celso will not be making the Argentina national team for their two World Cup qualifying matches against Uruguay and Brazil. According to Gastón Edul, Lo Celso is going to be left out due to his recovery.

The 28 year old has not been part of the Real Betis squad due to fitness issues. Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni had included Lo Celso in the preliminary list for the two matches.

  1. @EnganChe :
-Nico as a left wingback and even Simeone as a right wingback is very plausible.

This sounds a possible scenario and to be honest i kind of like it too.

Simeone surely should start, whether as wingback or RM….well anyhow i truly think he should start and hopefully so.

Would be fantastic to see Paz and Almada, but like you said : ” They will be on the bench for sure. One of them might get some minutes.”

Well, agreed and most likely scenario for both them, though personally i would like to see both getting as many minutes as possible!

Also would like to see Foyth too

  2. Scaloni won everything. Now he should give a chance to new players to prove.
Especially in wings and left back. We are still looking for players who can replace Di maria. I know creating team is not easy when world class players are going to retirement. It will take time. But still I believe we are lacking a winger.

  3. Ortega is off the list too… I guess Tagliafico – Nico Gonzalez – Medina is the plan. Scaloni likes to switch to back 3 lately, sometimes even mid game and in that scenario Nico as a left wingback and even Simeone as a right wingback is very plausible.
