Giuliano Simeone could start for Argentina against Uruguay.
Simeone has chances of being in the Argentina starting eleven in the World Cup qualifying match against Uruguay on Friday. According to Leandro Alves of ESPNArgentina, the 22 year old’s chances of being in the starting eleven are increasing.
Both Lionel Messi and Paulo Dybala are not part of the team due to injuries and Lautaro Martínez is not expected to play for Argentina against Uruguay on Friday.
If Nico is fully fit, and Simone is starting i will say all the injuries will end up as blessings in disguise. May be Messi is not even injured at all. Scaloni is restrategizing his move. Brazil and Uraguay are perfect matches to start implementing new strategy for coaches like Scaloni who sets a goal as high as World Cup.
I read it somewhere that during one of the 2022 WCQ games (i think it is against Brazil) that ended 0-0, Scaloni assured Leo to trust the process when Leo asked him ‘Do you think we can do it (wining WC22)? The quetion was more of a doubt than a confidence.Fast forward to these 02 crucial matches, and regardless of the results hope lessons will be learned for the inevitable Life of the NT with out Messi. May be it is time to re-think on how to do it again- not a coincidence to try it against Brazil?
Paz, Simone,Soule and Almada will bring positive to the
team. Hope sccaloni is also carefully evaluating the alternates of Otamedi, though he still has got a slight advantage nearly over all the youth CBs ( except Lisandro???) to pair Romero.
Lautaro now out for sure…time for Castro or Paz, Almada, Angelito to prove themselves if Scaloni plays them with Julian up front.
Emi
Molina – Romero – Balerdi -Tagliafico
DePaul – Enzo – MacAllister
Simeone – Alvarez – Nico
Otamendi and Pezzela – please retire asap and enjoy your life.
I predicted the same line up.
