Matías Soulé scored a stunning goal for AS Roma in their 1-1 away draw against Lazio in the Derby della Capitale on matchday 32 of Serie A.
With the home side leading 1-0 in the 69th minute, the 21-year-old Argentine called for the ball, received it about five meters outside the box, and struck it first-time with his left foot. The ball hit the crossbar, bounced a few centimeters over the goal line, and then hit the crossbar again—sending his teammates into celebration.
Leandro Paredes also started for AS Roma but was substituted at halftime, while Valentín “Taty” Castellanos started for Lazio and was taken off in the 76th minute.
The future of G.Simone and Soule is much brighter. Possessing key attributes of Lavezzi and Dimaria (hard work and talent), coupled with Scaloni’s acumen, i believe they will have a slight comparative advantages over others. N.Gonzalez may need to shift to Full/wing backs if he wants to survive the competition in the wings. Garnacho is not even there yet.
What a golazo from Soule! The kid has finally regained his mojo! As for Garnacho, I hope he leaves the shambles and disgrace that MU have become and plays in Spain or Italy. After that we can reassess. For now Soule, Benja Dominguez and Simeone, are ahead of him to a winger role.
Buonanotte is decent player but I am not sure we need a player with his profile. Mastantuono is talented, but still very young. Not everyone is Lamine Yamal to hit the ground running at 16. I think he needs to continue at River for 2-3 years, or play for a midtable team in Europe that will give him minutes.
Ranieri gave him regular playtime without putting unrealistic expectation owed to his transfer price. That is all a young player like him needs.
Soule, Paz and Almada are Argentina’s top attacking talent (with Simeone, Castro, Bounonotte and Garanacho being a level below).
Really glad to see Soule doing so well because he deserves it, the kid has the right attitude and the talent to boot. At least something good came out of Dybala’s injury.
With due respect I believe both Garnacho and Buonanotte are no way near NT quality. Benja Domínguez looks neat, reminds me of young Alejandro Gómez (though Gómez was stronger for a little guy). Do u watch the Argentine league? Nardoni of Racing looks TOP notch.
Yes Nardoni is playing very well.
At the moment I agree Sergio but I wasn’t talking about who was NT material or not I was talking about pure talent as I personally see it.
Garnacho and Bounonotte right now are no where near the NT with the latter especially being unlucky to have possibly THE worst coach in EPL history (next to Ronald Debouer) hamper his excellent start to the season. Still I think both have the base talent to go somewhere provided they have a good coach.
Franco Mastantuono best argentine player in the argentina league. He has everything (Needs to improve his finishing). He’s just 17 year old. He’s carrying river plate right now. It’s matter of time before a big European team will sign him.
Marcelo Gallardo is turned to be flop on his second term as River head coach
One of the big reason of failure is river and boca both the club sign too many old players . This old players either out of form or injured.
I am personally disappointed with Gallardo. When teams like Monaco, Sevilla, AC Milan wanted him as a coach he refused but suddenly joined as a coach in Saudi Arabia where he failed miserably and suddenly come back to river and signed too many old players rather younger one. He is the coach who didn’t give ruberto (before injury) the chance he deserved. But Thank God he is given deserve chances to Franco mastantuono and Ian subiere.
Mastatuono has the right tools but is a work in progress. Especially in and around the pen box. Sadly, he doesn’t have quality team mates to develop the right way. He has to stay put at River for at least another couple years.
More and more reminds me of Di Maria in how he moves and the kind of goals he scores.
