Enzo Barrenechea is close to joining Benfica from Aston Villa.

Barrenechea could be joining Benfica. According to César Luis Merlo, the Argentine is very close to joining Benfica as negotiations with Aston Villa are in the final stages.

The 24 year old would join on a five year deal. He spent last season on loan at Valencia where he played 30 league matches.

Benfica is a good club for our players. Barrenechea is an excellent young player.

I personally rate highly enzo Barrenechea, he is modern deep laying playmaker just like paredes but better defensively than paredes
