Wesley of Brazil on losing 4-1 vs. Argentina: “They were on a night where everyone was Messi”

Wesley of Brazil spoke about losing 4-1 against the Argentina national team in the World Cup qualifiers.

The Argentina national team played a World Cup qualifying match in March against Brazil, winning 4-1 in an impressive win. Julián Álvarez, Enzo Fernández, Alexis Mac Allister and Giuliano Simeone all scored. Speaking to TNT Sports Brasil, Wesley, who started the match for Brazil, had this to say:

“It was a lesson. I think everyone plays to win. We know how good Argentina’s team is. We went there to play, we tried and we gave it our all.

“They were having a night where everyone was Messi. There was nothing we could do, that’s all. Thank God we’ve already qualified for the World Cup. It’s not the end of the world because we lost.”
