Matías Soulé has commented on the Argentina national team and not being called up.
Soulé was called-up to the Argentina national team for their 2-0 win against Angola, despite being in good form for AS Roma. The Argentine has three goals and two assists in 11 league matches. Speaking in an interview with Sportmediaset, here is what he had to say:
“I remain calm and hope it can arrive as a reward for all the good performances at Roma. I am a little disappointed, but not worried. The moment will arrive if I keep doing well with Roma. All I can do is keep working, try to be decisive in every match, until the call-up becomes a logical consequence.
“I can confirm that Italy is not an option for me. I am from Argentina, and I would like to represent my country.”
