Enzo Fernández has been sanctioned by Chelsea for two matches following the comments he made about wanting to live in Madrid.
Fernández will miss Chelsea’s two matches against Port Vale and against Manchester City. The Argentine was recently asked about which city he would like to live in, with his response of Madrid fueling transfer talks.
This has made Chelsea coach Liam Rosenior unhappy and the coach confirmed that Enzo has been sanctioned for his comments. Speaking at a press conference, here is what Rosenior had to say:
“I spoke with Enzo an hour ago. As a football club, and with me as part of that process, we’ve made a decision: he won’t be available for tomorrow’s game and he won’t be available for Manchester City next Sunday.
“I think a line was crossed in terms of our culture and what we want to build. So we had to make a sanction and that was a decision we’ve made.”
