Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni spoke about the obstacles when Argentina won the 2022 World Cup.
Lionel Scaloni commented in an interview with Diario Olé about the Argentina national team and the World Cup. In the same interview, Scaloni spoke about the last World Cup and the obstacles. Here is what he had to say:
“We lost the first match, they equalized against us in the last minute against the Netherlands and we won on penalty kicks. Against France, we were winning 2-0, playing well and they drew level.
“In the end, at the World Cup, it’s not enough to just play well and be the protagonists. Several factors have to come together for the path to clear up.
“I think that we, out of the most recent national teams that have won the World Cup, we were the one’s that had the moat obstacles in our way.”
