Lionel Scaloni commented in an interview with Diario Olé on the Argentina national team at the World Cup and the 2022 World Cup obstacles. In the same interview, Scaloni spoke about Lionel Messi. Here is what he had to say:
“He was at nothing to having won two more Copa America titles and a World Cup. He continues to be the same, he is competitive.
“He will play in his sixth World Cup and he still has the same desire. He wants to play with the ball, he wants to keep playing.
“Messi will play until he decides. I’m not surprised that he’s playing in his sixth World Cup. What surprises me is that he has only won four trophies with the national team.”
