Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni spoke about the team and the World Cup.
Lionel Scaloni is presently in Kansas City with the Argentina national team and has the 26 World Cup players in training camp. Scaloni spoke to Diario Olé in an interview about the team. Here is what he had to say:
“How is the national team? Good, I imagine that all of the national teams, we are all the same way. We are thinking about the start, that they arrive in the best way.
“Luckily, we have a base of 60% or 70% that is always the same. That helps for when you get together, all of the doubts disappear.
“The ones that continue is because they have shown that they deserve it.”
Scaloni also spoke about the World Cup:
“We are going to give our best at the World Cup, this team is capable of overcoming the challenge.
“Defend the title? In the end, everytime Argentina play a World Cup, we are always a main candidate.
“The ball could go in or not. The theme is to know that we are going to respect our tradition and culture.”
