Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni held a training session on Tuesday with several players not part of the starting eleven.
The Argentina national team are in Kansas City for their World Cup training camp and some players have fitness issues. According to Diego Monroig, here is the team that was used by Scaloni in training:
Rulli; Tagliafico, Lisandro Martínez, Otamendi, Capaldo; Enzo, Mac Allister, De Paul; Almada, Lautaro and Simeone
Lionel Scaloni’s team will play Honduras on Saturday.
If Cuti, Licha, Dibu, Enzo, Julian, and Messi are fit and play their best, Argentina has a real shot at being world champions again.
Don’t forget Toro will try to prove his presence in this World Cup because he was injured last one. He needs to be fit too. I want him to come from bench and terrorise opposition defenders like he did in last Copa! Also I sincerely wish and pray Messi doesn’t play full game

I won’t be surprised at all if Capaldo squeezes in to the squad in place of Molina/Montiel! Remember last World Cup Scaloni was angry with Nico and someone else I think for hiding the pain or injury and they got kicked out. It is really bad to wish or anything but Capaldo will be good addition if he can prove his worth in those friendly coz he is sooo versatile. I was shocked why didn’t he get called up earlier! Montiel only probably getting nudge ahead of Capaldo or Giay coz of Penalty specialist

100% agree. Hope Capaldo will play well in the friendlies, I don’t know him that much as a player. Bringing an injured Montiel just for the penalties seems like a bad decision
Capaldo has been around. He played on the u23 team about five years ago. I always wondered why none of the teams in Spain or Italy or England picked him up. I remember when he signed for Salzburg and thought it was just a steppingstone. Such is life, never know when you might get an opportunity. Just have to make sure u grab it.
