Possible replacements in Argentina national team for Leonardo Balerdi at World Cup

Leonardo Balerdi is injured and will not be at the World Cup with Argentina but coach Lionel Scaloni could have some replacements.

Balerdi was called up to the Argentina national team for the World Cup but he is injured and will not be with the team. Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni has stated that he will call up a replacement but that he was waiting for Argentina’s match against Iceland. According to Maximiliano Grillo, Agustín Giay, Nicolás Capaldo, Emiliano Buendía, Máximo Perrone and Guido Rodríguez are being considered by Scaloni.

Agustín Giay and Nicolás Capaldo are presently with the Argentina national team and played in the team’s 2-0 win against Honduras. Emiliano Buendía, Máximo Perrone and Guido Rodríguez are not with the team.
