Claudio Tapia spoke about Lionel Messi and the Argentina national team’s win against England at the World Cup.
Tapia commented on Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni’s future with the Argentina national team and the criticism around the Argentina national team. In the same interview with TyC Sports, he spoke about Lionel Messi. Here is what he had to say:
“The best player of the World Cup was undoubtedly him. It’s his decision. It was a great World Cup. We have to feel proud.”
He also commented on the win against England and the Malvinas flag:
“The responsibility of not letting down the Argentine’s was overwhelming compared to the one you had for playing against Spain.
“Because of the emotional weight, it was like winning the World Cup.
“The banner was something from the people. It just happened that way, nothing was ever planned and up to now, FIFA has not issued any sanction or notice or even a warning.
“If you’re playing for the Argentina national team and the people express with that flag what they feel, do you leave it on the ground or do you pick it up? I pick it up because we are Argentines and we are proud.”

Would England or USA scream and shout holding a banner about ww2 if they beat Japan in the semi final
Grow up dude
He is here to provoke us and spread the British propaganda. Don t give attention to him. He is British or from a country familiar to them. what you expect from a person like him ? He has no idea about our view on the subject or Argentine mindset. Just i will watch him and i will report him to Roy if he crosses the line of insult the Argentine people or our country.

Another super match of Leonel Flores against Estudiantes….
Yes, could get a chance on the right wing in NT. I like him, Echeverri, Carrizo. While reminds me of Pavon playing style Flores defintely more talented. I hope he will develop better. By the way, it’s actually joy to watch former, current and future NT players all over Boca midfield. Paredes, Delgado, Aranda, Ascacibar, Flores together in starting eleven.
Currently best midfield in Argentine league…Delgado played excellent last match….
The more I think about it the more I’m in AH of Messi’s accomplishments in the WC, 8 goals and 4 assists in competition with the world’s best at their prime and he’s 39 years old for GOD’S SAKE and playing in MLS!
Ridiculous to say the absolute least, I haven’t appreciated him in this WC vs his last and this was his finest.
I wish I could say with a clear conscience that I want him to play in the next though.
