Manchester City have reportedly shown interested in Valentín Barco.
With Brighton reportedly already in talks to sign the 19 year old left back from Boca Juniors, a new report is now linking him with Manchester City. According to Diario Ole, Pep Guardiola’s team are interested in signing the Argentine.
This would be two Premier League clubs showing interest in Barco. A separate report by Augusto Cesar from ESPN Argentina states that there will be a formal offer in the next few hours and City are willing to negotiate with Boca, not to take him away right away as Barco would like to remain until December for the Copa Libertadores.
I want him to go to City. Truly good players can play well in any team at any time.
In Brighton he might actually start, in City pretty unlikely. Hence, Brighton might be better for his growth. We will need a good LB in a couple of years so Barco’s development is key for us.
