Germán Pezzella could miss the Copa America with Argentina due to injury

Germán Pezzella could miss the Copa America with the Argentina national team due to injury.

Pezzella could be out of the Copa America with Argentina. According to Leo Paradizo, there is a lot of concern in the Argentina team for the 32 year old and he is at risk of missing the Copa America.

The Argentine suffered a small muscle injury in May while with Real Betis. Should Pezzella miss the Copa America, Lucas Martínez Quarta and Leonardo Balerdi could go in his place.

The Argentina national team is in Miami training for their matches against Ecuador and Guatemala. Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni will cut down his list of 29 players to 26 for the Copa America in the United States.

  1. Mexico hasn’t been a good team recently. I’m from the United States and the US team has beaten Mexico in everything in recent years. That doesn’t mean Uruguay is bad. It just means that Mexico aren’t as good as they have been in the past.

  2. Uruguay has a winning history in the Copa America. They are tough to beat. Argentina has not played against any tough opponents since the World Cup. It’s not going to be easy. Our biggest advantage is our midfielders but Lautaro needs to start scoring

  3. This copa america would be a tricky one as Uruguay is in great form, brazil is in a rebuilding phase, columbia and ecuador is always a tough team and chile and mexico. We have to be at our best. I think its upto the versatility of scaloni that he makes in each match. Vamos Argentina.

  4. Uruguay trashing Mexico as we speak, 3-0…literally toying with ’em. Should be interesting in COPA.

    • We toyed with everyone in qualifier 2002 under Bielsa. Doesnt translate into anything once the WC started. We also beat Mexico 4-0 last time we played them.

        • Yea but Bielsa pressing style usually great for qualifier where you play two games at a time. In tournament format, his team usually loses the steam along the way. He never actually wins anything at senior level when coaching a national team.
