Exequiel Palacios is out injured until the beginning of the new year for Bayer Leverkusen.
Palacios was substituted out with an injury for Bayer Leverkusen in their 3-1 win against Eintracht Frankfurt. The club announced on Saturday that the 26 year old will be out until the start of next year with a muscle tendon injury in his right adductor.
The Argentine was part of the Argentina national team’s World Cup qualifying matches this month and will miss Argentina’s remaining four friendly matches this year. Palacios missed four Bundesliga matches last year due to injury.
Another good performance from Senesi. Hes showing his capabilities in the fast paced premier league.
If he can avoid injuries for this season. He will be good asset to NT. Otamendi getting old and Lisandro not sure, to be at his best for the WC.
The red card is blessing in disguise if Equi takes it positively , it will make him more focused and careful.
Palacios, Locelso, Licha & Nico. Their fitness can’t be trusted and relied upon. As things stand Scaloni has Otamendi, Acuna & Montiel as his backup defenders. It is quite disappointing that he couldn’t inject new players in their positions waited till we qualified for the WC to try out new players.
Also, Mastantuono shouldn’t be selected for the under 20 world cup. He is playing for a biggest team in the world and needs to focus on establishing his spot in the madrid team. So far he has been okay, not bad but not good enough to come off the bench if Madrid as an impact player.
Equi was unlucky to get red. First yellow card was stupidity from Ref. I was impressed as usual to see him even few minutes of the game. He came in when they were down to 10. Equi constantly running to press,laying out the ball,intercepting the runner and reading of the game was fabulous. @Casabla I don’t think it will be hard for him to get in Leverkusen first 11 regardless who he competes. This young lad has good future for sure and I will be shock and bemoan if he doesn’t go to WC. He is exactly what we need in DM. Paredes can play Guido role come off the bench. Compared to the Leverkusen situation as new coach also international break Equi couldn’t be ask for more. Palacios injury could be blessing for him. That German guy no where near as Equi quality to be honest and I am not being bias. I hope he settle down soon and show his quality to the world .
