Lionel Scaloni’s team won 3-0 against Algeria at the World Cup with Lionel Messi scoring the three goals. Speaking to the media after the match, here is what Scaloni had to say:
“We knew that we were going to suffer, that they were a team that plays well. We did a great job, it was a very difficult match.
“The first match is always complicated. We had stumbled in the last World Cup and we needed to have a good debut today.
Scaloni also spoke about Lionel Messi:
“No words or Leo. What am I going to say? He is incredible. He’s been doing this for 20 years. Everyone in football wants to see him and enjoys it.
“He doesn’t give up on a single ball, that’s our style. That’s what we can take away from it.”
