Nicolás Tagliafico spoke about Argentina making the semi final of the World Cup.
Tagliafico started for Argentina in their 3-1 win against Switzerland. The 33 year old was substituted out for Nicolás González. Speaking to Doble Amarilla after the match, here is what he had to say:
“We are in a new semi final and we have been coming here for four or five years, competing and hungry. I am proud of the group for always pushing forward.
“We want to play better and be the national team of the last World Cup. But we have to accept what is happening. The objective is to win. Football is becoming more even and anyone can play against you. What is coming is going to be more difficult too.”
Tagliafico realized the truth but hasn’t perhaps realized that he is far from his peak. He was again physically outplayed by Embolo. We were lucky once again that he received a card for doing something very silly. England is not going to do anything like that.
