Gabriel MERCADO injured, CORREA out as well

Gabriel MERCADO injured himself in a friendly match for Sevilla while Joaquin CORREA left with discomfort.

Alarm bells are ringing for Argentina right now as defender Gabriel MERCADO has picked up an injury. MERCADO had to leave the pitch for Sevilla during their pre-season friendly against AS Roma after he felt pain in his left foot.

The injury comes just hours after he met with Argentina National Team coach Jorge SAMPAOLI to discuss tactics. The injury coincides with Lucas BIGLIA’s injury which we reported about earlier today. According to La Nacion, fellow team mate with the National Team and Sevilla, Joaquin CORREA also had to leave the pitch due to muscular discomfort.
