Reports are coming out that Lionel SCALONI will be offered a two year contract to coach the Argentina team and the announcement will be made today.

AFA president Claudio TAPIA has stated several times that an announcement on who will become the new Argentina manager would be made in December. There are now rumors that the AFA president will offer Lionel SCALONI a contract to coach the Argentina team for two years. The official announcement is expected to be made today.

Should SCALONI accept the offer, it would mean he would coach the Argentina team at the 2019 Copa America.

Lionel MESSI scored and broke a Champions League record in FC Barcelona’s 2-1 win against PSV.

Another match, another goal scored by Lionel MESSI which only Lionel MESSI can score. The Argentina and FC Barcelona captain dribbled around PSV players before scoring the first goal of the match. That goal was the most goal scored by a player for a single club with 106 goals.

Another thing is that MESSI has now scored 66 goals in the group stages of the Champions League in 66 matches.

AC Milan and Inter are reportedly interested in signing Argentine Rodrigo DE PAUL from Udinese.

Reports continue to emerge that AC Milan want to sign the Udinese player with negotiations between the club and the player being advanced between the two. DE PAUL would join in January should the deal happen.

However, news is coming out that the other team in Milan want to sign the Argentina. Per new reports, Inter would like to sign DE PAUL in January for a rumored price of €20 million.

Rodrigo DE PAUL first joined Udinese in 2016 and has scored six goals in 13 league matches this season.

Copa Libertadores final between Boca Juniors, River Plate to be in December outside Argentina

The final of the Copa Libertadores involving Boca Juniors and River Plate will be in December but held outside of Argentina.

The South American federation CONMEBOL confirmed on Tuesday that the second leg final involving the two teams will be held on either December 8 or 9 but it won’t be held at the Monumental.  There are rumors that the final could be held in Asuncion, Paraguay.
