Former Argentina man Santiago SOLARI named new Real Madrid coach

Santiago SOLARI has been named the new head coach of Real Madrid.

The reining Champions League holders have fired coach Julien LOPETEGUI and have named former Real Madrid player Santiago SOLARI as the new manager. SOLARI has been in charge of Madrid’s B team since 2016 and as a player won La Liga as well as a Champions League title.

SOLARI represented Argentina 11 times but did not take part in any international tournaments.

The two biggest teams in Madrid are now coached by two former Argentina team mates in Santiago SOLARI and Diego SIMEONE.

Real Madrid are being linked to Exequiel PALACIOS of River Plate.

Per a report by Tyc Sports, the reigning UEFA Champions League holders are interested in signing the Argentine youngster. While River Plate are attempting to give PALACIOS a new deal, Real Madrid has emerged as a favorite in signing him.

Exequiel PALACIOS reportedly has a buy out clause of €15 million with Madrid offering €20 million. The offer would have PALACIOS sign a 5 year deal with him joining the club in June.

A man of the match performance by Rodrigo DE PAUL saw him give an assist and score for Udinese in their 2-2 draw against Genoa.

The savior of Udinese’s season, DE PAUL continues his great form. After having been called-up and given his first cap for Argentina, DE PAUL is ensuring that he will be in the squad once more for his country for the November friendly matches.

With the score 1-0 for Genoa, DE PAUL sent in a cross which found the head of LASAGNA who scored to draw Udinese level. Just two minutes after that, Argentina U20 man Cristian ROMERO headed in Genoa’s second of the match.

Rodrigo DE PAUL left his stamp on the match with a shot from outside the penalty area to draw Udinese level.

Cristian ROMERO’s night got worse with a sending off following a needless tackle.

Roberto PEREYRA turned on the style for Watford in their 3-0 win against Huddersfield.

The former Juventus player scored a Lionel MESSI type goal which happened to be his fifth goal of the season. PEREYRA dribbled around several Huddersfield players before dispatching it passed the goalkeeper.

After having recently been called-up to the Argentina national team by coach Lionel SCALONI, PEREYRA’s excellent form to the start of the season continues.

Former Argentina coach Jorge SAMPAOLI could manage Universidad de Chile

Former Argentina coach Jorge SAMPAOLI is being linked to manage his old club, Universidad de Chile.

Following a disastrous World Cup campaign and turmoil over his future with the Argentina national team, SAMPAOLI could be returning back to the club where he first made a name for himself. According to reports, SAMPAOLI is being heavily linked to the coaching position.

He won two Apertura and one Clausura league title but also managed to win the Copa Sudamericana with them. The South American equivalent to the UEFA EUropa League.
