Argentina have arrived and will have first practice session today!

The Argentine national team have arrived yesterday in the United States. Their “bunker” is in Santa Clara, California where they will train until their first match against Chile on Monday June 6.
The team will be welcoming Augusto Fernandez and Matias Kranevitter today as well. Their first official practice will also be today. Lionel Messi is planning to join the team later in the week as he is scheduled to go on trial in Barcelona over the alleged and never-ending tax fraud case. He also seems to be recovering well from his back injury scare but it still has not been determined if he will be fit enough to start against Chile.

Cristian ANSALDI linked to Juventus
Cristian ANSALDI is being linked to joining Juventus.
Reports in Italy are that Cristian ANSALDI is linked with Juventus.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, ANSALDI (now at Genoa) is rumored to join Juventus as according to the report, he is their first choice.
ANSALDI’s agent had this to say: “I think he’ll remain in Italy, but nothing is done yet. Inter and AS Roma like him, but Genoa will decide the future of the player. It is not up to us.”
However, independant reporters are stating that ANSALDI is actually “very close” to signing with Juventus.
News regarding Lionel MESSI’s back injury
An update on Lionel MESSI’s injury.
With the initial 24 hours after MESSI’s injury having passed, Argentina National Team doctor was able to talk more about Lionel’s back injury including a time frame for his return.
The news is that MESSI’s in less pain today and that with 9 days of proper care, MESSI should be able to play the Copa America. Argentina’s opening match is against Chile on June 6. It remains to be seen whether or not he will be fully fit to start the match or if Tata will rest him for the first match and play him in the second match.
Lionel MESSI suffers injury
Lionel MESSI was substituted off due to injury.
Lionel MESSI had to be substituted off for Argentina in the second half.
MESSI received a knee to the left side of his back and is currently undergoing tests. We will update you once more information becomes available.
UPDATE: Test results show that MESSI has suffered a lumbar hematoma which almost resulted in a fracture. From what I can tell, very deep bruising. No time table set on how long he would be out for.
UPDATE 2: Vero BRUNATTI (who is very close with the players) has stated that MESSI’s injury is a painful one but not a serious one. According to her, he should take part in the first match at the Copa America.
