Boca Juniors are reportedly finishing up negotiations with Chelsea for Aaron Anselino.

Negotiations are coming to a close between the two clubs. According to Tati Civiello of TyC Sports, Boca Juniors are finishing up negotiating with Chelsea for the the 19 year old centre back.

The Argentine would undergo a medical in London and return to Argentina where he will stay there for the next half season.

Lionel Messi is out of the MLS All Star game on Wednesday.

Messi will not be taking part in the MLS All Star game against Liga MX All Stars. The 37 year old is presently injured after having been substituted out for Argentina their 1-0 win vs. Colombia in the Copa America final.

Two Argentine players will be taking part in the match. The first is Luciano Acosta, the reigning MLS MVP will be representing FC Cincinnati.

Luca Orellano also of FC Cincinnati, on loan from Vasco da Gama in Brazil, also plays with FC Cincinnati and will be taking part in the match.

Ángel Di María to renew contract with Benfica

Ángel Di María will renew his contract with Benfica until 2025.

According to Argentine journalist Gastón Edul, Di María had intentions of returning to his beloved Rosario Central after the 2024 Copa América. Nonetheless, due to death threats in Rosario to him and his family in recent months, he prioritized his family’s safety and decided to continue his career with the Portuguese team.

Benfica’s president, Rui Costa, confirmed the news:

“Di María stays at Benfica. It’s already announced. He will remain at Benfica, just like last year when he came after the World Cup to sign a contract. The same has happened now. Di María is a Benfica player.”
