Chelsea will not allow Enzo Fernández to go to the Olympics with Argentina.
Fernández won’t be with Javier Mascherano’s team in France. According to Gastón Edul, Enzo spoke to Chelsea several times and tried but he has been ruled out.
The 23 year old is presently with the Argentina national team in Miami, Florida for their friendly matches in June against Ecuador and Guatemala.
Valentín Carboni and Ángel Correa are fighting for an Argentina spot at the Copa America.
Carboni and Correa are both fighting for a spot in the Argentina team. According to Gastón Edul, the two are fighting for one spot.
Correa, who is 29 years old, was part of the Argentina national team which won the 2021 Copa America and the 2022 World Cup. Valentín Carboni, still only 19 years old, was recently called up and played his first match for Argentina earlier this year.
Lionel Messi, Julián Álvarez, Alexis Mac Allister and more players have joined the Argentina national team in Florida.
Messi, Álvarez, Mac Allister, Enzo Fernández, Nahuel Molina and Exequiel Palacios are now with the national team. All three players arrived to the training camp on Monday morning.
The Argentina national team is training at Inter Miami’s stadium. Messi scored for Inter Miami on Saturday but had an extra day to rest, with players joining the team on Sunday.
Ángel Di María and Nicolás Otamendi will be joining the team shortly.

Players started to arrive on Sunday morning from Argentina with more players arriving during the day. The team did work on the pitch and coach Lionel Scaloni spoke to the media.
Lionel Scaloni commented on Paulo Dybala being excluded from the team and about the fitness of the players in the team. Scaloni also spoke about his future as Argentina national team coach.

Valentín Barco will be able to go to the 2024 Olympics. According to Gastón Edul, the Premier League club have given Barco the okay to go with Javier Mascherano’s team.
Barco is only 19 years old and would not take an over age spot in the team. As reported, Nicolás Otamendi and Julián Álvarez will be with Argentina at the Olympics.
He is presently with the Argentina national team in Miami, Florida. Argentina play Ecuador on June 9 and will play on June 14 against Guatemala.
