Alejandro Garnacho has been named the Manchester United Player of the Month for October.
Garnacho was announced as the award winner, scoring two goals and assisting once last month. The Argentine had scored for United in their 2-1 win against Brentford in the Premier League and had a goal and an assist against in the EFL Cup against Leicester City.
Argentina against Peru will be played at La Bombonera.
The November World Cup qualifying match between Argentina and Peru will not be played at El Monumental. According to Gastón Edul, the reason for the change is because El Monumental, which is the home of the Argentina national team, will be hosting the Copa Liberadores final on Nomember 30 and for preparations, the match will be played in Boca’s stadium.
Lionel Scaloni’s team will play Peru on November 19 in their second World Cup qualifying match of November.
Valentín Castellanos scored twice for Lazio in their 5-1 away win against Como on matchday 10 of Serie A.
In the 27th minute, Lazio was awarded a penalty kick after a handball in the box. Castellanos took it and powerfully placed it to the left with his right foot, while the goalkeeper dived the other way, giving his team a 1-0 lead.
With Lazio leading 3-1 and both teams down to 10 men in the 81st minute, Castellanos received a pass as he entered the box, setting up a one-on-one against Como’s goalkeeper. The 26-year-old struck it with the inside of his right foot, placing the ball in the back of the net to score the 4-1 for his team.
The Argentine striker now has seven goals in 12 games this season; five in Serie A and two in the UEFA Europa League.
The young Argentine Nico Paz played the entire match for Como.
Paulo Dybala scored for AS Roma in their 1-0 home win against Torino on matchday 10 of Serie A. In the 20th minute, the 30-year-old Argentine pressed high, intercepted a sloppy pass from a Torino defender, dribbled past the goalkeeper, and shot with his left to give his team the lead.
“La Joya” reached his second goal of the season and gave AS Roma a much-needed win that leaves them in tenth place.
The Argentine players Matías Soulé and Leandro Paredes remained on the bench for the entire game.
Julián Álvarez scored twice for Atletico Madrid in their 2-0 win vs. Vic in the Copa Del Rey.
Álvarez had both goals for Atletico, scoring both after veing substituted into the match. Atletico were awarded a penalty kick and it was Álvarez who would take it, going low and to the right of the goalkeeper, scoring to give Atletico the 1-0 lead.
At 1-0, Nahuel Molina would receive the ball out wide and pass it to Ángel Correa who would play it off to Álvarez and the Argentine would cut inside and score Atletico’s second goal of the match. He now has six goals and one assist for Atletico.
