Lionel Scaloni spoke at the end of last year about how he had to think about his future. Now with the Argentina national team in Florida, preparing for the two friendly matches and the Copa America, he was asked about his future. Speaking to the media, here is what he had to say:

“My future? I already went through the bad time in November. I needed to gather strength and express myself. Today, I’m fine. I will be here until the AFA president decides otherwise.”

Scaloni had also commented on the reason why he left Paulo Dybala out of the Argentina national team for the Copa America.

Paulo Dybala was left out of the Argentina team for the matches against Ecuador and Guatemala and also out of the 2024 Copa America in the United States. Now in Florida with the team, Lionel Scaloni spoke to the media about leaving Dybala out. Here is what he had to say:

“Not just him. When you leave a player out, especially in the conditions we had to do, it is always difficult. We have a special affection for him but we always say that the team comes first.

“Given the circumstances in the positions, especially in which we had some problems. We know what he gave us.

“There are decisions and we left Dybala out with all the pain in the world.”
