Nicolás González is set to miss Argentina’s World Cup qualifying match against Chile due to suspension.

González received a red card for Argentina in their World Cup qualifying match against Uruguay and missed the next match against Brazil. According to Leandro Alves, Nicolás González is suspended for two matches and will miss the match against Chile.

Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni will also be without Leandro Paredes, Enzo Fernández and Nicolás Otamendi for the match as they are also suspended.

Giovani Lo Celso has fitness issues for Argentina ahead of their World Cup qualifying match.

Lo Celso arrived to the Argentina national team not fully fit. According to TyC Sports, Lo Celso is in danger of missing Argentina’s World Cup qualifying match against Chile on Thursday.

He arrived with an injury from Real Betis and concerns have been raised about his fitness. He was expected to start for Argentina against Chile in Thursday’s game.

With Lionel Messi, the Argentina National Team trained this morning in Ezeiza

The Argentina National Team, which is preparing for the two upcoming South American World Cup Qualifiers against Chile and Colombia, completed another training session on Monday in Ezeiza.

The squad, with Lionel Messi who arrived early this morning, began the session in the gym with intense stationary bike exercises.

Afterward, coach Lionel Scaloni led tactical drills focusing on defense-to-attack transitions, finishing exercises, and small-sided games in three 10-minute blocks.

The team’s defenders also worked on specific drills alongside Walter Samuel and Roberto Ayala, with an emphasis on build-up play and defensive reorganization when tracking back.

Lionel Messi has arrived in Argentina for the June World Cup qualifying matches.

Messi is in Argentina but arrived after Sunday’s training session. He will be with the team and is not one of the players suspended against Chile for Thursday’s World Cup qualifier.

Argentina will play a second World Cup qualifying match against Colombia on Tuesday, June 10.

The Argentina national team trained for the first time before their June World Cup qualifying matches.

Reigning World Cup, Finalissima and back to back Copa America champions Argentina held a training session on Sunday. Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni had many players available and a first training was done.

Lionel Scaloni’s team will play Chile on Thursday, June 5 and on June 10 will play Colombia.
