Otamendi will take part in his last match with the Argentina national team in Argentina on Tuesday. According to Gastón Edul, the 38 year old is going to be in the starting eleven for Argentina in their match at La Bombonera.

Lionel Scaloni’s team will play their last match in Argentina before the World Cup and this would be Otamendi’s last ever match with the Argentina national team in Argentina. He has played 129 matches with the Argentina national team, winning the World Cup, the Finalissima and two Copa America trophies.

Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni commented on Joaquín Panichelli’s injury.

Joaquín Panichelli suffered an ACL injury in training and is going to miss the World Cup. The 23 year old was part of the Argentina national team for the two matches against Mauritania and Zambia but had to leave due to the injury.

Lionel Scaloni spoke at a press conference where he stated that Lionel Messi will start for Argentina against Zambia and he also spoke about the Argentina national team list for the World Cup.

“We talked with Panichelli. He even came to the training ground after getting the results when he could have easily just stayed at the hotel.

“He asked to talk with us, it was really emotional. Everything he said made total sense, he particularly didn’t deserve this.

“He’s a hard worker, he’d earned it. I told him he’ll get another chance, he’s a kid who inspires everyone.”

Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni has commented on the list of players for the World Cup.

Lionel Scaloni spoke at a press conference where he stated that Lionel Messi will start for Argentina against Zambia and also spoke about the team. In the same press conference, Scaloni commented on the preliminary list of players for the World Cup. Here is what he had to say:

“The list of 55 has already been sent to AFA, they have to present it to FIFA. I have the list pretty clear but if the performances aren’t up to par, we will take measures.”

The Argentina national team won 2-1 against Mauritania on Friday and will play against Zambia on Tuesday.
