Julián Álvarez spoke about his good start to the season with Manchester City.

Álvarez scored two goals for Manchester City in their 3-1 win vs. Crvena zvezda in the Champions League as he continues to be one of City’s best players this season. The Argentine has four goals and four assists this season. Speaking to ESPN Argentina after the match, here is what he had to say:

“My good start to the season? Yes, I feel very good. The coaching staff gave me their confidence, I’m playing a lot and I’m trying to approach this in the best way possible to help the club and my team mates. They are trusting me and I’m trying to return it to them.

“My new position behind Haaland? I had many opportunities in my career, I have played in many positions. I’m adapting well there and I feel very good.”

Álvarez got his first free kick goal for Manchester City, as he continues to do well with Manchester City. With City trailing 1-0, he started the comeback as he passed it to Haaland and received the return pass inside the penalty area, skipped passed the goalkeeper and scored to draw City level.

The Argentine would also give City the 2-1 lead. Manchester City were awarded a free kick and it was the World Cup winner who curled it and scored.

He has four goals and four assists in six games, one in the Champions League and five in the Premier League.

Conmebol and UEFA are working on organizing friendly matches for March 2024.

The Argentina national team have four more South American World Cup qualifying matches to be played this year but they could be playing a European team next year. According to Gastón Edul, Conmebol and UEFA are working on organizing friendly matches between South American and European teams for March 2024.

For Argentina, it would help them prepare for the 2024 Copa America, there would also be games played in 2026.

Paulo Dybala scored twice for AS Roma in their 7-0 win vs. Empoli.

Dybala scored his first two goals of the season for AS Roma after being missing their last league match. AS Roma were awarded a penalty kick and it was Dybala who took it and scored to give them the 1-0 lead.

The Argentine would score a second goal as he dribbled into the penalty area, dribbled the defender and scored.
