Carlos Tevez discharged from hospital following chest pain episode

Carlos Tevez was discharged from La Trinidad Hospital in Buenos Aires on Wednesday, following a chest pain episode on Tuesday.

The 40-year-old Independiente coach “finished the medical studies and was discharged,” the club announced on its social media. He will rest today and go back to the training sessions this Thursday.

Per reports, Tevez is understood to suffer from high blood pressure and regularly
undergoes medical checkups.

River Plate in talks to sign Germán Pezzella of Betis

Per reports by Argentine Journalist Gastón Edul, River Plate is in talks to sign Germán Pezzella, 32, of Betis. The player’s release clause is 4 million euros.

The World Cup champion center-back started in River Plate’s youth divisions and played two years in the first team between 2015 and 2017.

In the 2023/2024 season with Betis, he had 38 appearances so far and scored once. Along with his Argentina teammate and also former River Plate man Guido Rodríguez, Pezzella has been a key player for Betis in the last three years.

Martínez started for Inter in their 2-1 win vs. Milan which also won them Serie A. The 26 year old did not score in the match but he does have 23 goals and five assists in 28 matches for Inter this season.
