Juan Foyth of Villarreal has undergone surgery on his dislocated right shoulder.
Foyth will be out for an undetermined time as it will depend on how quickly he heals. The 25 year old suffered his injury in Villarreal’s last match against Rayo Vallecano.
He has not been called-up to the Argentina national team for the matches in June.
Lionel Messi will reportedly make a decision about his future in the next few days with Premier League options available.
Messi will not be renewing with PSG and as we reported earlier, FC Barcelona coach Xavi wants to bring Messi back to the club. According to Gastón Edul, Messi will make a decision in the next few days and FC Barcelona does not guarantee an offer before the end of the transfer market.
FC Barcelona’s offer is dependant on them selling players and having the available funds. Messi to Barcelona is complicated and in the air.
A separate report by Hernán Claus states that Premier League options are now appearing for Messi in addition to the options from Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia and the MLS of option of Inter Miami.
FC Barcelona coach Xavi spoke about a possible return for Lionel Messi to the club stating that he is speaking with him.
Lionel Messi recently won Ligue 1 with PSG and was included in the Ligue 1 Team of the Season but he will not be renewing with PSG. Messi has been linked with a move back to Barcelona and with a move to Saudi Arabia.
Barcelona coach Xavi spoke to SPORT about Messi possibly returning. Here is what he had to say:
“No doubt Messi can still help us. He can play in several positions. A false 9, wing, inside… He’s almost become a midfielder. Maybe he’s lost a little explosiveness but we saw his World Cup. He still has years ahead of him.
“Messi’s return makes sense to me, no doubt. I’ve told president Laporta about it. Leo is still a decisive player. He’s still hungry, he’s a winner, a leader. Also just very different. The way I want the team to play, no doubt he’ll bring us a lot.
“I have the tactical plan in mind with Leo. It’s up to Leo. I think he has to decide, it’s up to him… I’m speaking with Leo, yes.”
Facundo Buonanotte is set to be called to the Argentina national team for the June matches.
Buonanotte will be with the Argentina national team for their matches against Australia and Indonesia in June. According to Luis Hernan Ricossa, Buonanotte will be joining the team and the AFA will be making it official on Tuesday.
He will travel to Argentina on Tuesday.
The Argentina national team will play Australia on June 15 in Beijing and a second friendly match against Indonesia on June 19 in Jakarta.

Mauricio Pochettino has been announced as the new coach of Chelsea.
Pochettino is back coaching in the Premier League. Chelsea announced on Monday that Pochettino has signed a contract with the club and his new role will begin on 1 July.
He has signed a two year contract. Chelsea’s co-sporting directors Laurence Stewart and Paul Winstanley had this to say:
“Mauricio’s experience, standards of excellence, leadership qualities and character will serve Chelsea Football Club well as we move forward. He is a winning coach, who has worked at the highest levels, in multiple leagues and languages. His ethos, tactical approach and commitment to development all made him the exceptional candidate.”
The 51 year old started his managerial career at Espanyol in La Liga before coaching Southampton and Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League. He last coached Paris Saint-Germain in 2021-2022 for one season.
