Alexandro Bernabei wins Scottish Premiership with Celtic

Alexandro Bernabei has won the Scottish Premiership with Celtic.

Bernabei has won his first senior club trophy and in his first season in Scotland. The 22 year old left back joined Celtic at the start of the season from Lanús and has taken part in 13 league matches, scoring one goal and assisting three.

Celtic were crowned champions following a 2-0 win vs. Hearts on Sunday. Congratulations to Bernabei and Celtic on their league win!

That is now two Argentine players that have won European league titles this week. Giovanni Simeone won Serie A with Napoli on Friday. Below is Bernabei’s goal for Celtic back in April.

Lionel Messi has issued a statement regarding his trip to Saudi Arabia.

Messi recently took a trip to Saudi Arabia as he is an ambassador of tourism and as a result, he has been suspended for two weeks by PSG. His trip to Saudi Arabia was unauthorised and he missed training.

The World Cup winner posted an apology on his Instagram page on Friday.

“I honestly thought we were going to have a day off after the game as always. I had the trip to Saudi Arabia organized and I couldn’t cancel it. I had already canceled before. I apologize to my teammates and I’m waiting for what the club wants to do.”

Giovanni Simeone wins Serie A with Napoli

Giovanni Simeone has won his first European league title as Napoli win Serie A for the first time in 33 years.

Simeone has three league goals in 20 matches with most of his appearances being as a substitute. Napoli clinched the league title with a 1-1 draw against Udinese.

It’s a historic league title for Napoli, their first in 33 years since Diego Maradona lifted the trophy with the club. It is also their third Serie A title in history.

Alexis Mac Allister scores penalty for Brighton in 1-0 win vs. Manchester United

Alexis Mac Allister scored the penalty which gave Brighton the 1-0 win vs. Manchester United.

Mac Allister was the man who stepped up as Brighton were awarded a penalty kick in injury time. With the score at 0-0, the World Cup winner score the penalty as he sent David De Gea the wrong way and Alexis placed it into the top corner.

The Argentine spoke about his goal and the win after the match. Here is what he had to say:

He has been linked with a move away from Brighton with Liverpool being the club reportedly interested in signing him next season.

Valentín “Taty” Castellanos scores for fourth consecutive match for Girona

Valentín “Taty” Castellanos scored again for Girona as he now has a goal in four consecutive matches.

Taty Castellanos cannot stop scoring. After scoring once against Elche, four against Real Madrid and another against Sevilla, he has added one more to his name against Mallorca. With the score at 1-1, the Argentine would help give Girona the three points.

Castellanos would score a flying header late in the match to give Girona the win and make it seven goals in his last four La Liga matches.
