Alejandro Garnacho reportedly asks Manchester United for U20 World Cup permission

Alejandro Garnacho has reportedly asked Manchester United coach Erik ten Hag for permission to play at the U20 World Cup.

Garnacho has been included in the preliminary lits of players by Javier Mascherano for the U20 World Cup, but per reports, Manchester United would not be allowing him to join the team. Javier Mascherano flew to England where he spoke with the United coach and he is now in Spain negotiating with Real Madrid for Nico Paz.

Manchester United are in the final of the FA Cup and while they are currently not allowing Garnacho to travel, the player has reportedly asked for permission. According to DobleAmarilla, Garnacho spoke with ten Hag where he said the following:

“I have to write my own history with the Argentina shirt. I’m asking you, please. Let me go.”

The U20 World Cup will be taking place in Argentina from May 20 until June 11.

Castellanos was the star of the match as he scored four goals for Girona. The 24 year old is on loan from New York City FC and now has 11 goals in 29 matches in La Liga this season.

The Argentine scored two goals in the first half and two in the second to put Madrid to the sword. He now has five goals in his last two league matches.

He becomes the second Argentine to score four goals against Real Madrid, with Diego Milito having scored four while with Real Zaragoza. Castellanos spoke to Jijantes FC on Twitch, here is what he had to say:

“I have always liked Barça more than Madrid, because of Messi. He is an idol for me. Leo Messi is the best player in the world. He is God for us Argentines. He made me cry at the World Cup. I hope he watched yesterday’s match.”

Otamendi got his first goal of the season in the league and it would be the goal which would give Benfica the three points. It was a corner kick for Benfica which was taken short and Neres would get the cross in to Otamendi as the Argentine would leap and score a header.

Benfica lead the league in Portugal with 74 points, four ahead of FC Porto.

Nehuén Pérez scored for Udinese in their 3-0 win vs. Cremonese.

Pérez got his second goal of the season for Udinese. With Udinese leading 1-0, they were awarded a free kick and it was a cross into the penalty area which found the Argentine as he headed the ball and scored.

The 22 year old was called up to the Argentina national team for the March friendly matches but did not take part in any of the two games.

Lautaro Martínez scored as he reached 15 league goals for Inter this season.

Martínez got his first league goal since March 5 as that goal took him to 15 in Serie A. With Inter leading 2-0, Lukaku would play a pass in to Lautaro and with two Empoli players in front of him, would strike the ball with his left foot and score the third goal of the match.

Joaquín Correa started the match for Inter but he was substituted off for Lautaro in the 69th minute.
