Messi has now scored in six of Inter Miami’s seven league matches in which he has played in this season, having scored in every match except their opening game. Against New England Revolution, it was New England who took an early 1-0 lead with less than one minute into the match.

With New England leading 1-0, Robert Taylor would play a pass into Lionel Messi and he would score from inside the penalty area to draw Inter Miami level. Much of the crowd in New England would celebrate Messi’s goal.

Sergio Busquets and Lionel Messi would combine once more in their careers, this time Busquets with a through ball to Lionel Messi and the 36 year old would score to give Inter Miami the 2-1 lead.

He would also get an assist for Inter Miami’s last goal of the match, a pass to Luis Suárez and the Uruguayan would score from inside the penalty area. With his two goals and assist, Messi also became the first player in MLS history to have multiple goal contributions in five consecutive matches.

The Argentine has 11 goals and six assists in 10 matches with Inter Miami this season and has 22 goals all time for the club, seven behind Gonzalo Higuaín’s club record of 22 goals.

Rodrigo De Paul and Ángel Correa scored for Atlético Madrid in their 3-1 win at home vs. Athletic Club on matchday 33 of La Liga.

In the 14th minute, De Paul controlled the ball at the edge of the box after a clearance and shot with a half-volley. De Paul’s effort took a deflection off an Athletic defender and the ball went to the back of the net for the Argentine midfielder to give Atletico the 1-0 lead.

With the game tied at one in the 51st minute, Ángel Correa received a long through pass inside Athletic’s box. He controlled it with one touch, dribbled the goalkeeper and a class finish with his left foot to score and restore Atletico’s advantage.

Nahuel Molina also started the game for Atleti.

Diego Simeone’s team ended up winning 3-1 in a crucial victory against their main competitors for the fourth 2024/2025 Champions League spot.

Matías Soulé scored a penalty kick for Frosinone in their 3-0 win vs. Salernitana on matchday 34 of the Serie A.

In the 9th minute, Frosinone were awarded a penalty kick and Soulé converted it to give them the 1-0 lead. The 21-year-old Argentine kicked to the left while Salernitana’s goalkeeper dived to the other side.

Enzo Barrenechea in Frosinone and Federico Fazio in Salernitana also played the whole match.

It was a crucial win for Frosinone as now they are able to take a break from the relegation positions. On the other hand, Salernitana only have 15 points in this Serie A season, and they will play in the Serie B the next season.

Julián Álvarez scored for Manchester City in their 4-0 win vs. Brighton.

Álvarez got his first goal in the Premier League since January, making it nine goals and nine assists in 32 Premier League matches this season. With Manchester City leading 3-0, it was a ball in to Kyle Walker and his effort would fall to the Argentine who would score to give City the 4-0 lead.

Valentín Barco started his first Premier League match for Brighton, giving the ball away inside the penalty area for City’s third goal of the match.
